JOSHUA JAMES JACKSON
Joshua James Jackson sings, tells quick if mediocre jokes, and plays guitar to the immediate and lasting satisfaction of audiences wherever he goes. His solo shows are a singer-songwriter shaped window into a soul saturated in Mingus, incubated in Tom Waits, and fed on sweat gathered in the back of a van. Shows with a band feature ace players getting down, dirty and downright tasty.
In 2015, Joshua James Jackson founded Sharkmouth to perform his compositions, and they released an eponymous EP featuring Kalei Yamanoha on guitar (accordionist of Oddjob Ensemble, and Linden Reed (drummer of Sloth and Turtle and David Luning) that November. In 2016, John Courage took the role of guitar, and Libby Cuffie took the drummer’s throne. In 2017 the band played the Railroad Square Music Festival, and Nate Dittle replaced the guitar’s role with electric piano and keyboards. With this new lineup Sharkmouth prowls the West Coast like a pacing cat.
The Sam Chase and the Untraditional is a small rock and roll orchestra led by songwriter Sam Chase. Sam is one of those rare unicorns we call "San Fransisco natives" and he leads the Untraditional like warriors on a battlefield. I played trumpet as an Untraditional from 2014-2017.
Frankie Boots and the County Line is a folk rock/ americana band roaring out of the San Francisco Bay Area with a penchant for vivid images of late nights, lost love and the grittier side of life. I played bass, trumpet and guitar with Frankie Boots from 2011 until he moved to New Orleans in 2016.
The Crux is the brainchild of Josh Windmiller- whether it's gospel, folk punk, jazz or hip hop, it's sure to be weird. I've been playing bass for the Crux since 2011.
Oddjob Ensemble is the crazy California klezmer, balkan, and overall bananas brainchild of Kalei Yamanoha. I have had the pleasure of playing bass with Oddjob Ensemble occasionally since its conception in 2015.
